Definitely not for a day at the beach. They are supposed to be extremely sturdy and all terrain sorts, but they have started to wear out in less than 2 weeks of purchase. I wear them daily, to work and I do not live on a mountain or on the banks of a river so there is no reason I see for it to wear off. And the worst part is the rubber-like material under my foot hurts and almost peels my skin.
